Moving
Big life changes come with a lot of underlying stress. Thanks to the pandemic and work from anywhere we are in a fortunate position to not wait until we are ready to retire to embrace new adventures.
In June 2021 we decided to relocate from Melkbosstrand to somewhere in the Western Cape. We have always been divided about whether we would live at the coast or inland. After visiting numerous towns and exploring the possibility of living there we decided to move to Montagu.
Montagu is a small scenic town known to be the historical link between Cape Town, Oudtshoorn, the Garden Route, and the Eastern Cape. As the gateway to the Klein Karoo and part of Route 62, Montagu is a remarkably beautiful town with so much to offer its visitors.
Moving is a process full of mixed emotions. On the one hand, it’s the start of an exciting new adventure; it’s the first step towards a new location with the opportunity to explore and meet new people. On the other hand, moving comes with a lot of change. Moving stress is a natural result of all these emotions colliding.
So this weekend is the start of our relocation. If you are keen to follow our Montagu Story visit our Instagram page.
